I was only 4 years old, but I still remember my very first trip to Disneyland. We were staying with my Great Aunt in San Diego and we drove up to Anaheim for the day. I remember being upset because a lot of the rides were closed for refurbishment and my mother took a picture of me next to Sleeping Beauty Castle. I remember Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, the Matterhorn, riding in the "sky buckets" - all like it was yesterday. Thankfully, I have a partner who shares my love of all things Disney and we have been regular Disney World goers ever since. I took my own family back to those same spots in Disneyland. Many of the rides have been revamped or even removed over the years, but I was transported back to that first trip all the same. My husband even took a picture of me in that same place I was all those years ago.
Now I'm helping friends and family capture that same magic when they come to me asking how to have a great time at Disney. They know that I have all the ‘secrets’ of how to make Magic (truth be told, Disney keeps adding magic all the time so there are days even I'm surprised!) I get to relive my childhood dreams over and over again when my friends send pictures of their amazing adventures. Seeing those smiles from the young and young at heart is the next best thing to being an Imagineer!
